The audience will be able to
hear works by Shchedrin which have not been presented to our public yet.
Dialogues with Shostakovich (2001) is an artistic confrontation with Dmitri
Shostakovich, the famous head the Union of Composers of the Russian
Federation before Shchedrin. The soloist in the Concerto for Orchestra with
Solo Trumpet (written in 1993) will be Matej Rihter, a solo trumpet player
in the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. Serenade Lolita is a part of opera
Lolita by Shchedrin (1992), based on the famous novel by Vladimir Nabokov.
